The Beast Master's guild

:iconbeastmastersguild:

The people belonging to the Beast Master's Guild are a group of adventurers who specialize in the tracking, catching and taming wild adoptables. Each beast master has their own special skills which they have mastered for the taming of specific adoptables. Hiring a beast master is not like ordering a custom, you will have little control over the adoptable that the beast master brings back for you, though there are things that you can do to ensure yourself the type you want and sometimes the colours or details that you would prefer it to have.

Different masters will be added to the guild as they become available.

Specialties
Each beast master has a specialty and sometimes a sub specialty. Specialties can be as specific as one adoptable (example: wild ferrotiels), or more vague as a general adoptable type (example: general dragon breeds of adoptables). A beast master has a 100% chance of returning with it's specialty, so if you say, hire Hanra (specialty: ferrotiels) he will always come back with a ferrotiel for you. If you hire someone for a sub specialty, then they have a chance at coming back with that adoptable for you, but it is not guaranteed. If they can not find or tame that adoptable for you, they will return with another wild adoptable instead (usually the adoptable they specialize in). You may also request for them to tame you an adoptable they do not specialize at all in, must most of the time this will fail. It is better to try and find a master who specializes in the kind of adoptable you want. Sometimes a master may come back with something that no one has ever seen before!

Payment and Bribes
In addition to checking the specialties of the different masters, each master has their own unique personality, interests and dedication to their jobs. While all the masters accept payment in the standard SG and USD, sometimes it is possible to bribe a master into letting you pay them in other ways. Some may let you pay them in items, currency from another game (example: gaia gold), art, writing, adoptables, favors, etc. This all depends on the master and their mood and desires at the time. The masters are all people with changing temperaments and personalities.

In addition to simply paying for the request of an adoptable type. Sometimes a master will also accept bribes to spend more time out in the wild to look for something you may want more specifically. For example, you may want a ferrotiel, but you might very much like a blue one, or one showing a specific mutation. You may try to bribe the master you are hiring to get it for you. If you are asking for too much or something too specific however, the master will likely decline your offer. You may try to request something without bribing them, but it is less likely they will put the effort into getting it for you.

Talking to the Masters
How likely a master is to get your specific request depends on how they are doing and how able they feel when it comes to getting the job done. When hiring a beast master, you may also try to talk to them to get a feel for how they are doing. If you are hiring them to get an adoptable for you that they do not specialize, you can ask them questions to try and judge how likely they are to be able to get it for you, or if you should check back another day (or even be talking to a different master). You may ask the masters anything that you like that you may feel is relevant to the job at hand. This is also a good time to make requests, ask about what they can do for you or offer bribes.

It is also possible to talk to the beast masters about non-business related things and to become friends with the masters.

The Guild:

Hanra Liedstone
:bulletred: Closed :bulletred:

:bulletblue: Specialty: Ferrotiels
:bulletblue: Sub-specialty: Rodents
:bulletblue: Commission: $10 USD | 10,000 SG

Hanra Liedstone is a young ferrotiel rancher from the western plains. He enjoys breeding and raising ferrotiels and is constantly looking for new breeds and mutations he can create without the aid of the alchemist, Koshiro. Hanra is known for his ferrotiel taming abilities and his speed in doing so. He has great appreciation for the arts and loves collecting drawings of ferrotiels and the characters of the stories he writes in his spare time. While accepting standard currency for payment, Hanra often prefers to collect art when he can and is generally easy to bribe. While a tad arrogant, Hanra is playful, good natured and responds well to easy-going personalities.

Yára Isilvaugn
:bulletred: Closed :bulletred:

:bulletblue: Specialty: Dragons
:bulletblue: Sub-specialty: Rare Breeds
:bulletblue: Commission: $15 USD | 15,000 SG

Yára Isilvaugn is an experienced dragon rider. When not doing work with the guild, she spends her time exploring new territories and searching for exotic and rare things to add to her collection. Yára is very much business oriented and does not enjoy indulging in small talk or becoming personally involved with her clients. Yára can sometimes be hard to deal with and is not an easy person to bribe.

Freija
:bulletred: Closed :bulletred:

:bulletblue: Specialty: Universal Master
:bulletblue: Sub-specialty: None
:bulletblue: Commission: $20 USD | 20,000 SG

Freija is the leader and most unique of the beast masters in her skill. Being half beast herself, she is able to find and approach wild beasts with high success rates and without restriction. She is however, also the most picky of the beast masters when it comes to accepting commissions. Material goods mean little to her and she will judge your worth by the character you have displayed. She wishes the beasts she tames to have friends, not masters. Should she be unsure of your character, she may try to challenge or trick you.
