What are master breeders?

Master breeder is a special status awarded to a small group of people who have proven their medal as top breeders on MCA within their chosen fields. An elite master breeder is a breeder who has achieved master breeder status in 4 or more fields. Elite master breeders are not limited to any one field of expertise. Master Breeders are afforded special privileges according to their fields of expertise including:

● A special slot reserved for them during the breeding season of their breed of expertise
● 25% discount on breeding items directly useable on their breed of expertise when paying with SG or Shop Vouchers (USD prices not effected)
● One free breed outside of breeding season per two month of their breed of expertise
● Chimera (and Elite) breeders chance to breed a chimera without the aid of items increases from 5% to 25%

★ Elite Master Breeder: additional slot reserved for them during the breeding season (for a total of 2) of any breed
★ Elite Master Breeder: additional 25% SG shop discount (for a total of 50% discount) on all breeding items
★ Elite Master Breeder: additional breed outside of breeding season (for a total of 2) per month of any breed

Master breeders may use their afforded breeding privileges for themselves or for others (so long as they are one of the breeders) and may be commissioned for breeding services. If you are a master breeder and are interested in providing such services, we encourage you to make a journal of some sort including what services you offer, which adoptables you offer for breeding, your ToS and your requested compensation for your services. You may note us with a link to this journal and we will provide it beside your name for people to read when looking for a breeder.

Actions of master breeders are monitored carefully. If we feel they are exhibiting bad breeding practices (inbreeding, poor pedigree choices, consistently bad colour and mark mixing, etc) , they will have their master breeder status revoked.

● Kissas - includes Keiju Kissa, Pocket Kissa and Koi Kissa
● Drandamurs - includes Drandamurs, Pocket Drandis and Wild Drandis
● Ferrotiels - includes Ferrotiels, Pocket Ferrotiels and Wild Ferrotiels
● Choubou
● Devirons
● Chimeras - includes CKKDv1, CPKPDv1, CCFv1

How do I qualify to be a master breeder?

Master breeders are judged based on several things:

1. That they are active and participating members of the MCA group
2. That you have consistently read and followed the rules of the group and have demonstrated understanding of how breeding works. If we know you to have demonstrated that you have not read rules or a lack of understanding of these things in the past, you will be marked down or disqualified for it
3. That you have successfully bred at least 4 of the adoptable of which you are applying to be an expert in (example: if you are applying to be a master kissa breeder, you must have successfully bred 4 kissa).
4. That you have participated in breeding seasons and demonstrate an excellent grasp of good colour mixing, good marking mixing, pride in your adoptable's pedigree and overall good breeding values

I meet these requirements! How do I become a master breeder?

To become a master breeder, you must fill out the following form and send it to the group as a note. If you wish to apply for master breeder status for more than one breed, please fill out a new form for each breed and send it as a new note:

1. What is your breed of expertise? (Kissas, Drandies, etc)
2. What contests have you participated in? What events? Have you ever hosted an MEM event (if yes, please link us to it)? If you have not participated in any events, how would you describe yourself as an active member of this group?
3. Please post thumbnails of (up to) 5 of your favorite owned adoptables within your field of expertise(example: applying to be a kissa breeder? show us all your kissa)
4. Please post 4 thumbnails of of offspring you have participating in creating that are the same breed you are applying to be an expert in (you must be the owner of at least one of the parents). If you have participated in more, you may post more, however please choose only your best, we are judging you on your choices. It is mandatory that you post at least 4.

If you apply and qualify for more than 4 breeding groups, you will automatically be upgraded to Elite Master Breeder. You may apply for master breeder status at any time, however, if you have been rejected for master breeder status, you must wait until after the next breeding season if the adoptable you are applying to be an expert in before you re-apply. Doing so before hand will disqualify you from master breeder status permanently as will not meeting the minimum application requirements when applying. No exceptions.
